About Us
Samuels & Associates, Inc. is a consulting firm specializing in public health evaluation, research, policy analysis and advocacy, strategic planning and program development. Created in 1994 by Dr. Sarah Samuels, we consult with foundations, health departments, school districts and other clients. Samuels & Associates are experienced in applying a wide variety of research methodologies, including developing qualitative and quantitative instruments, selecting realistic and achievable processes and outcome measures, data collection, database management and analysis and logic modeling. We emphasize health promotion and disease prevention. Specific areas of expertise span nutrition and physical activity, prevention of chronic disease, women's health, community health, preventive care, and ethical and policy issues in public health. Our expertise is in ensuring full participation of all stakeholders in program and evaluation design and in interpretation of research and evaluation findings. Our ultimate goal is to further client priorities by developing tools and reports that can easily be used by programs for replication, monitoring, or disseminating program accomplishments. Clients have used our products to refine program efforts, gain visibility, leverage additional funding, replicate successful models, and sustain improvements through policy implementation. Samuels & Associates is adept at assembling teams of highly skilled professionals to meet project needs, including representation from diverse perspectives and areas of expertise.
